You can't just add an unlimited number of light sources, and this is necessary for an unlimited creative voxel sandbox. We use a deferred rendering technique, in which the lighting of each pixel on the screen is calculated after calculating all its other components, such as position, normal, and other interesting physical things. Of course, with this approach, the light will not cast shadows, but on the other hand, the efficiency of such a solution is many orders of magnitude higher, which allows us to draw up to 128 light sources simultaneously, and in the future we will be able to increase this value to infinity.
